Here is how the Japanese delivery box works. At the main entrance, there are lockers worked with smart keys which all residents have, allows electronic access and authorization system.
When the delivery person leaves your parcel, it is registered your room number so that you will get a notice you have a parcel in the locker when you go through the entrance.
